Printing since 1931
In a time when Dracula starring Bela Lugosi first entered the theaters, Nevada had just legalized gambling, The Star-Spangled Banner was officially made the USA’s national anthem, and Albert Einstein began his research at the California Institute of Technology – Wallace Carlson Printing was opening it’s doors for the first time. In an uncertain moment in history, not only in our nation but across the globe, advances were rapidly changing the face of technology and communication.
From a humble beginning printing labels for whiskey bootleggers to an incredible state-of-the-art 8-color press, Wallace Carlson Printing has stayed ahead of the curve and pushed the limits in print technology to the fullest. With a committed focus on creativity and innovation, WCP continues the tradition of print excellence 85 years later.
After nearly a century of being in business, Wallace Carlson Printing has seen significant changes in the print industry. We asked the owners group, what have they learned about print in their experience at Wallace Carlson Printing.
“Print isn’t going anywhere,” said President Brian Turbeville. “It is the most eco-friendly and effective way for marketing communication. People like the feel of a tangible item in their hands and they seem to respond to it more. With new technology and greater efficiency, we are able to produce with less waste and use less energy. We are one of the few industries that predominately uses renewable resources. Not many people realize that the print industry, on average, plants three times more trees than it cuts.“
“Print is dynamic, expressive, and sees a return,” according to COO Charlie Cox. “There was a point in the recession when businesses started to move away from print. The move was reflected in declining and stagnant sales. More and more organizations are ramping up their print efforts because they are seeing a return on their investment.”
“The industry is always changing, but one thing remains consistent – customer service and quality. Our clients depend on us to represent their organization and they expect nothing but the best, “ answered CEO Ann Turbeville. “We rely on our experience as a printer to deliver the best quality and customer experiences.”
Thank you to all of our customers, partners, and employees for making Wallace Carlson Printing what it is today. We are looking forward to the next 85 years.
